Mega yacht ARETHUSA made her superyacht charter debut at the Monaco Yacht Show. Built in Turkey by Nereids Yachts, superyacht ARETHUSA is named after a Greek goddess. In Greek mythology, Nereids are sea nymphs – friendly and helpful towards sailors. They are the fifty daughters of Nereus and Doris, who often accompany Poseidon.
At 47.08 meters, Mediterranean yacht charter vessel motoryacht ARETHUSA by Nereids Yachts measures just less than 500 GRT. Built with Turkey yacht charter excursions in mind, she offers accommodations for 10 guests. The superyacht is powered by twin 2250 HP Caterpillar 3512B engines, and reaches a top speed of 17 knots. She is classed by Bureau Veritas and holds the MCA Code of Practice for Safety of Large Commercial Motor Sailing and Motor Vessels.
The megayaycht spent her first luxury yacht charter season in the ever-popular Western Mediterranean, after spending her first winter season in Barcelona, Spain. Thus, Spain yacht charters (certain restrictions apply), French Riviera yacht charters, Italy yacht charters, even Croatia yacht charters are all possibilities with this magnificent new yacht – the largest yacht produced in 2008 by Nereids Yachts.
Externally, her shaded main and upper aft decks and expanse of open, uncluttered teak on the sundeck offer an enormous amount of space. The sundeck’s curved hardtop gives the superstructure of this megayacht an appealing “crown” and tops an expansive exterior that includes a large pool and smart, sheltered outdoor dining on the upper deck. The upper salon of this Mediterranean yacht charter vessel is a retreat where guests can enjoy television entertainment in front of a modern open fire.
Internally, the relaxed mood is created and enhanced by soft color shades and exceptional unique artwork and panels by the Turkish sculptor and painter, Günseli Kato – extraordinarily captivating images that manage to dominate the interior without intrusion or overstatement.
The picture of the fish is a prominent feature of the dining area in the main salon but does not overwhelm it. Clean lines and subdued shades create a pleasant ambience.
The interior of the yacht was designed by Geneva-based Design Investment, a company that is heavily involved in aircraft interiors, including the first class mini-compartments of the Airbus A 380 and Lufthansa’s Boeing Business Jet. Their experience in this field is evident in the understated but effective style of the guest accommodations. In addition to the master suite forward on the main deck, the super yacht has two VIP double cabins and two twins on the lower deck, all ensuite.
