Boarding from the aft passarelle, the main deck cockpit of M/Y ILLUSION is notably spacious. Here, guests can relax on the large C-shaped sofa and in the adjacent lounge chairs near the corner bar. Moving inside to the main salon, walls of glass bath the guests in an abundance of natural light. Spacious and bright, it is clear this room was designed for entertainment. A sophisticated dining table next to the entryway can accommodate up to ten guests for white-glove dinner service.
The overall interior design is best described as sophisticated and luxurious. Elements include Travertine, wood, parchment while several kinds of marble alternate with unique elements like stingray leather, coconut weave and mother of pearl. Inlaid Lalique crystal in the walkways adds a touch of elegance and ivory leather ceilings complete the effect of airiness and light.
Accommodations are available for up to 12 guests in six luxurious staterooms. The Master suite is situated forward on the main deck. Upon entry, guests pass through a full beam relaxation area, with large windows and an inviting. The suite’s bathroom is finished with onyx, with his and hers carved marble sinks, adjacent his and hers dressing rooms, an enormous central shower, and bathtub.
The remaining guest cabins are located on a lower deck and include a large VIP cabin, and three twins (with one cabin including a Pullman berth for a small child). All guest staterooms feature en-suite bathrooms.
Entertainment areas include:
– Upper deck, with al-fresco dinner seating for 14 and a wet bar.
– Sky Lounge with sofas, entertainment area, and a corner bar.
– Small cinema (convertible into an additional double cabin).
– Wine cellar and humidor for cigars.
– Beach Club on Lower deck
Of separate note is the expansive sun deck, with large spa tub, sunbathing recliners, full bar, barbecue grill and large sofa. There is also another dining table positioned on this deck, sheltered from wind or heat by a double sliding-door veranda.
Note – this is arguably the quietest of any yacht charter Mediterranean vessel. Danish technicians were hired to install specialized noise and vibration reduction systems throughout the yacht.
