At 235 feet, motor yacht KOGO combines quality construction with signature exterior design by Tim Heywood, and luxury interiors by Terence Disdale. The 71 meter super yacht KOGO was built by the French shipyard Alstom Marine. She features accommodations for twelve guests, attended by a professional crew of approximately two dozen — resulting in a crew-to-guest ratio of 2:1.
A custom-built displacement yacht, French charter yacht KOGO is equipped with modern stabilizers, designed to reduce roll and motion, both at anchor and while underway. Stabilizers on a large displacement yacht are critical for delivering the superyacht experience during charter. As important as comfort is overall safety, and this vessel was built to the highest Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) large yacht standards.
Notable amenities include a outdoor stage with concert-quality lighting and sound system, stone-clad upper aft deck with helipad, fully-equipped gym, steam room, and large Jacuzzi-style dip pool.
Cabin accommodations include 7 staterooms – an Owner’s suite, four double cabins, and two twin cabins.
The Disdale interior can be described as the fusion of minimalism and Asian Zen, whereas most yachts feature wall-to-wall carpeting to deaden sound, this yacht boasts uncluttered salons and cabins with dark wood floors, highlighted with crème-colored area rugs. Ceilings are paneled in rattan and bamboo. Credit Disdale for creating an ambiance of calm and peacefulness.
In contrast, the yacht’s performance is anything but peaceful. The massive superyacht cruises at an impressive 14 knots, powered by twin MTU/Caterpillar engines generating over 4000 horsepower.
Did You Know… When built, KOGO was ranked 67 among the Top 100 Largest Yachts in the World.
