A $7.7 million dollar refit has Oceanco yacht LAZY Z looking as new as the day she was launched. The yacht is equal parts luxury and fun in the sun. This perennial favorite Italy yacht charter vessel has all new interior soft goods. In addition, exterior paint, plenty of water toys, and a giant inflatable slide. Additionally, a rock-climbing wall, a dive compressor and SCUBA gear, and eight underwater scooters. The unique design and layout on motor yacht LAZY Z allows clients to choose between extremely sophisticated settings or a very casual atmosphere. Staterooms have every amenity including state-of-the-art communications and entertainment systems.
When guests walk around the decks of the 168-foot Oceanco LAZY Z yacht, they feel like they are on board a boat in new condition. The refit team does its job well. Interior designer Therese Baron Gurney redesigned the interiors while the yacht was in Europe, then annually refreshes the decor each time the vessel returns to her homeport in Fort Lauderdale – the Florida yacht charter Capital. Renovating to reflect the yacht owner’s elegant, sophisticated style, she blends rich textures, subdued colors, and modern lines.
LAZY Z was a finalist for both ShowBoats International’s “Best Full Displacement Motoryacht” AND “Best Motoryacht Interior” awards…
The 50-meter yacht boasts an impressive split-level Owner’s cabin, located forward on the main deck. There is the bedroom as well as a separate private observation lounge, a nice little nook where the primary charter guests can enjoy morning coffee or a private dinner.
Five guest cabins are located below the deck. Three staterooms offer King-sized beds, one has twin-sized berths, and the fifth cabin features upper-lower bunk beds. While technically, this superyacht accommodates 12 guests, the crew advises the bunk room to be used for children or supernumerary staff, such as a nanny or security personnel. Anyone chartering with all adults should assume that 10 is a more comfortable number to sleep onboard.
The layout and use of space in the main guest areas, especially the salon and sky lounge, creates an ambiance of freedom. There is a roomier feeling aboard this megayacht than on many other yachts her size. Much of this airiness is credited to the open staircase that lets tons of natural light shine into the sky lounge and salon. When sitting on the sofas in each space, guests might feel as if they are inside someone’s summer porch rather than indoors on a superyacht. The open feel of this luxury yacht makes her an excellent choice for a Mediterranean yacht charter or even a Caribbean yacht charter.
The yacht is offered for charters in the Caribbean during the winters and the Mediterranean during the summers. This is truly a family-style yacht, featuring an array of water toys, exercise equipment, and complete setups for beach parties. Onboard recreational items include tenders, waverunners, full waterski gear, including children’s training skis, and an assortment of towable boards and floats.
While most luxury yachts do not allow scuba diving activities, this yacht is a SCUBA diver’s paradise! Certified divers may use the yacht’s compressor as well as the seven sets of adult gear and three sets of children’s gear.
Of course, the most popular toys for the kids (and many adults, too) are the freestyle water slide, which drops the full height from the sun deck to sea, with a soft landing scoop at the bottom, and the rock climbing wall.
