MOGAMBO IS TEMPORARILY OUT OF CHARTER, BUT WE HAVE MANY SIMILAR YACHTS FOR YOUR CHARTER.  CONTACT US FOR SELECTION!

it’s easy to see why the German-built super yacht MOGAMBO was selected “Best Motor Yacht” at the annual World Superyacht Awards.  This amazing 74 meter yacht seamlessly combines a traditional atmosphere with a modern appearance.

Launched by Nobiskrug, a builder with a rich history dating back to 1905, interior and exterior styling was handled by Redmond Langton.  Langton chose an African theme as yacht MOGAMBO is named after a classic American film staring Clark Gable, Ava Gardner, and Grace Kelly, set in Kenya in the 1950’s.

Click to see another Redmond Langdon designed 78.43 meter Abeking & Rasmussen yacht AMARYLLIS.

The designer’s African angle forms the starting point for motor yacht MOGAMBO to exhibit the delicate combination of classic warmth and ambiance with modern sophistication.  The result is a Monaco yacht charter vessel outfitted for adventure, while pampering her guests with every conceivable luxury.

Starting with her exterior, the yacht boasts a fresh, sportive appearance, with a grey hull and white superstructure.  Her modern silhouette and exterior decks serve as an introduction into the spacious nature of all onboard areas – both inside and out.

The roomy main aft deck features four contemporary sofas – perfect for lounging and socializing. Adjacent is one of three large dining areas found onboard, with seating for 12.   Further aft is a sunbathing area with large sun pads.  The combination of sun, seating and dining areas defines the aft deck as the perfect place to relax or entertain guests. Removable Bimini shades supply ample protection from the sun, if requested by the guests.

Two staircases curving down from the aft deck lead to a large stern bathing platform and beach club. Here, guests can enjoy a central lounge with bar and a set of inviting curvy furniture – an intimate setting for ample small social gatherings away from the yacht’s larger relaxation areas.  Adjacent to the beach club are the spa and beauty salon areas.

The main salon consists of three sections – an aft lounge, central bar, and forward formal dining room. The atmosphere is modern, but calming colors of silver grey, golden honey, off white and dark chocolate lend to the soothing feeling that overtakes guests as they enter the salon. The lounge area furnishings include symmetrically placed  seating arrangements of curvy, slender sofas and armchairs.  The large, floor-to-ceiling windows bath the area in natural light, and add to the salon’s warm feeling.

The fusion of classic style and contemporary comfort carry on throughout the yacht’s interior.

Beyond the main salon is the central staircase. Here, the stairs are loosely entwined around a central elevator, making the lower cabin deck, up to the bridge deck accessible to physically-challenged guests.

Forward of the central staircase is the sumptuous master suite, including a private office/study that serves as a buffer between the common areas and the full-beam master stateroom. Adjacent to the office is a balcony, ideal for breakfast or private open-air viewing of the sea. This stateroom features a king sized bed, full A/V system and his/hers bathroom with a large, glass-walled rain shower and extra-wide bath tub with space for 2 people.

In addition to the 2-person master suite, and additional 10 guests can enjoy private accommodations. There are four lower deck VIP staterooms, two of which are convertible into twins, and an additional upper deck VIP cabin. All guest cabins feature All cabins have access to the Kaleidescape music and video library and satellite TV via an iPad-controlled Crestron system.

The vessel is fitted with a full array of amenities, including an indoor cinema, outdoor cinema, gym, and ondeck Jacuzzi-style hot tub.

Similar German-built yachts for hire include the 70.2 meter Lürssen motor yacht Martha Ann and the 78.5 meter Lürssen yacht TV.
