Built in Falmouth, England at the Pendennis Shipyard, sail yacht NOSTROMO brings together the primary elements of a world-class sailboat – performance, style, and passenger comfort. Featuring the signature styling of her naval architects, Dubois Yachts, this 30 meter sailboat is sure to turn heads in every port she visits.
Indeed, the deck layout, superstructure and hull lines of Pendennis yacht NOSTROMO merge together to deliver top-speed sailing performance with no compromise to comfort and usability.
Sleek and elegant, sail mega yacht NOSTROMO is a strong as she is beautiful.
Her mast and boom are constructed of carbon fiber, which accounts for a 60% weight reduction. This results in a benefit any charter guest will appreciate – significantly less roll and heel as compared to similar-sized sailboats.
The light-weight carbon fiber construction also gives the yacht her strength, which translates to power and endurance under sail. The yacht’s clean lines are accentuated by the lack of obstructing hardware and equipment on her deck surfaces. Such gear is out of sight yet within easy access for the charter-oriented crewmembers. An example is the hidden hydraulic crane, invisible to the guests yet ready at a moments notice to launch the jet tender whenever requested by the charterers.
The uncluttered deck makes al fresco dining for 12 all the more enjoyable. Ditto for soaking up the sun in the ondeck lounging areas.
The designers at famed Redman Whitely Dixon handled the yacht’s beautiful interior. Contrasting birch and walnut woods add balance to the contemporary decor. The split-level saloon is flooded with natural light, and the panoramic windows ad to the feeling of space and tranquility.
All four charter guest cabins are located aft. Cabin configuration is best suited for 6 adults, and possible two children in the Pullman berths. All cabins are ensuite, and well-appointed, and feature the latest state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment.
Did You Know… A sail works just like an airplane wing. Different pressures create lift, and work to propel the boat forward.
