Perfect yacht for special event charters
Built by ISA Yachts, Super yacht OKTO strikes a distinctive profile as she passes by. The ISA Granturismo yacht boasts elegant lines, with balanced proportions of her silver metallic aluminum superstructure. Her unique, angular plum bow and sleek black metallic steel hull were designed to increase efficiency and motion comfort. As important as comfort is during a charter, space is also a necessity and ISA yacht OKTO does not disappoint – with large outdoor spaces on all three of her decks.
The 4-deck 66.40-meter (216 foot) motor yacht OKTO ISA Granturismo features the exterior design of Andrea Vallicelli, with interiors by the late Alberto Pinto. She can accommodate 12 guests in 6 guest cabins and is powered by twin CATERPILLAR 3512 C engines rated at 1765 KW @ 1800. Top speed is listed at 18.5 knots and a cruising speed of 16.5 knots, in maximum comfort.
When launched, ISA Yachts CEO, Luciano Bregola proudly stated: “This gem of a yacht is the result of the perfect collaboration of a well concerted team of experts who designed, engineered, built and delivered a distinctive yacht which will set new standards in the industry. We are all extremely proud…a magnificent yacht.”
The concept behind the Granturismo model is to emphasize the outdoor experience of a yacht without compromising the space and comfort that the charterer would expect from a superyacht in the 60 meter range. Comfort and space are integral to the Superyacht Experience, and many modern yachts have traded outdoor space to make more room for interior amenities. Not so onboard this Italy yacht charter vessel – the ISA team have designed a yacht for charterers who love the sea and like to be outside.
The Pinto interior layout puts emphasis on the osmosis between indoor and outdoor areas. The main deck saloon has the feeling of a lounge, which seamlessly opens to the cockpit via fully-retractable circular doors. It’s a unique perception of space. The salon and dining area are bathed in natural light coming from the full height side bulkhead windows. The interior layout is completed by the 4 guest cabins plus the master suite.
The full beam master suite is entered on the main deck through a private lobby, and features a private balcony controlled by the guest at the touch of a button (on other yachts, access to a balcony often requires the assistance of the crew). The balcony comes with an air curtain to keep the interior spaces cool, while having the balcony open to the sea. In-room amenities include his and hers bathrooms with a dressing and shower room; a bathroom with sea views; steam bath and rainforest-style shower. There is also a large dressing room with vanity, and a small refrigerator to store delicate beauty products.
Adjoining the master suite is a small office which can be converted to a sleeping area for small children.
Belowdeck and accessible via stairs or an elevator, are 4 guest cabins. There is also a massage, beauty, and therapy room staffed by a massage therapist/beautician.
Guest cabins are designed with an asymmetric layout so as to ensure additional privacy and noise reduction for guests. High ceilings and unique light inserts in the ceilings give this area a light and spacious ambiance. The VIP cabin (known as the “Red” cabin) is quite large – 26 square meters and features en suite shower and plentiful wardrobe space. The “Blue” and “Orange” guest cabins have double berths, en suite bathrooms and walk-in wardrobes.
The last cabin is a single and suitable for either an individual guest or a supernumerary (nanny, security agent, secretary, assistant, etc.). If being used as a guest cabin, it will lead to the guest lobby. However, if being used as a staff cabin, the room can be closed off from the guest areas, and lead directly to the crew area.
Outdoor amenities worth special mention are a helipad on the foredeck, suitable for touch and go, and a large 6 meter (20 foot) swimming pool filled with either salt or fresh water, heated or cooled, and featuring contra flow current for simulating swimming laps.
This outstanding 66 meter yacht is destined to become an icon in the charter market for many years…
