The words, “fast” and “displacement” rarely appear in sentences about yachts. In the first place, displacement yachts tend to be built heavier and wider. This is to achieve maximum comfort. Trade-off for this stability at sea is traditionally speed. However, one builder continues to throw convention to the wind.
BENETTI YACHTS
Italy’s Benetti Yachts, unveils a third generation of fast yachts. This rounds out an extensive range of vessels. For instance, class range semi-custom displacement vessels from 93′ to 145′ and custom-built megayachts starting at 45 meters.
WHAT MAKES THEM SPECIAL?
This new fast displacement line of composite vessels includes two models. Not only Benetti F-140 (2012), but also brand new Benetti F-125. As with other models, the new line Benetti F-125 is designed to be truly versatile. In addition, it offers speed when needed, but also offers fuel efficiency and comfort.
BENETTI CEO COMMENTS
In a recent press release, Benetti CEO Vincenzo Poerio touted the new line.
“Many of our clients have requested faster, more versatile, and efficient boats, while maintaining the same level of comfort and customization found in our existing yachts. The new Fast Displacement line is designed precisely in response to these requests, and it rounds out our current offering in the Class Range. We haven’t just created a new series; we have invested time and resources – combining the Benetti’s 140 years of experience in super yachts with the technological know-how of Azimut Benetti Group – to create a new way of heading out to sea.”
EUROPEAN STYLING
Comfortable luxurious European styling make Benetti yachts popular. Equally important, yacht charter customers often request Benetti yachts by name.
BENETTI YACHTS IN OUR FLEET
There are many popular Benetti motoryacht charter vessels. For example, SILVER ANGEL, CHECKMATE, and DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER. Diamonds Are Forever is the latest James Bond boat to honor the film franchise. Silver Angel is designed specifically for long-range cruising. Checkmate is a 2013 addition to the #Monaco yacht charter marketplace.
The international luxury auto industry features one country. In specific, one synonymous with trendsetting fashion and style. It is Italy. Italia. Think Ferrari. Maserati. Lamborghini. Mentioning these names evokes images of automobiles. Moreover, those designed with sleek exteriors and sophisticated interiors.
The same Italian tradition of excellence and sophistication rings true in the world of yachting: Benetti Yachts.
The Benetti Shipyard is one of the oldest yacht building yards in the world. Founded by Lorenzo Benetti in 1873 the was directed after his death by his sons Gino and Emilio. They renamed the yard Fratelli Benetti and soon gained recognition outside the waters of the Mediterranean Sea.
In the early 1980’s Azimut SpA took over the yard’s management under the name, Azimut Benetti Group. For the past six years, Benetti Yachts has been the largest shipyard in the world in terms of production.
Today, Benetti builds elegant, stylistic yachts from three shipyards in Italy – Viareggio, Fano and Leghorn. Composite motor yachts are offered from 93? to 164? while fully custom steel and aluminum motor yachts start at 47 meters.
There have been dozens of high-quality Benetti yachts produced over the years and accordingly there are a large number of Benetti yacht charter vessels available for hire.

The superyacht will remain in Antarctica during March 2013. Specifically, if there is additional charter interest. There is another option. In specific, the owner is considering is a relocation to Chile, Patagonia, or the Brazilian Amazon. She plans to accommodate requests for charters through April.

European luxury yacht charter customers tend to request superyachts built in Italy, Holland, and France. Their counterparts in America prefer a Trinity yacht charter vessel.
TRINITY – BENETTI – FEADSHIP – LURSSEN
The Trinity yacht charter fleet stands toe-to-toe with the Benetti yacht charter vessels. It also rivals Lurssen yacht charter and Feadship yacht charter fleets. It’s all about luxury amenities and interiors.
TRINITY YACHTS
Trinity Yachts earns its place as one of the world’s elite builders of custom superyachts. It has an emphasis on European quality, and steel and aluminum constructions. Trinity’s goal is to build a truly custom yacht that fulfills all of your unique cruising desires.
TYPICAL SUPERYACHT CONSTRUCTION
Most superyacht construction is a semi-production basis. Trinity Yachts creates the largest yachts available for mega yacht charters. Vessels up to 400 feet (123 meters) prevail in the industry. They work with many of the world’s most renowned naval architects and interior designers.
YACHT CHARTER PLANNING ON A TRINITY
Now planning a Caribbean yacht charter or Mediterranean yacht charter holiday on one of these magnificent yachts has never been easier. Currently, there are 17 rent private yacht Trinity-built models available.
John Staluppi, notably the luxury yacht charter world’s archetypical yacht owner, is at it again. He is driven by imagination and pride. As such, Staluppi takes possession of his 16th megayacht.
Diamonds Are Forever Staluppi yacht
Launch took place on 26th November 2011 in Benetti shipyard in Livorno, Italy. The 60 meter Benetti FB253 is the boat’s official identification. Like his earlier yachts, the vessel has been christened to honor another James Bond classic novel and film. Presenting motor yacht DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER.
Staluppi’s Casino Royale
BENETTI TRADITIONS
The boat is based on the shipyard’s famed naval architecture and engineering. Elegant external line of the new Benetti FB253 M/Y (Motoryacht) DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER uses compact forms and dynamic slender lines. She has traditional design elements and modern innovative stylistic solutions. These features are the benchmark of Benetti’s throughout the world.
John Staluppi, Superyacht Owner
STALUPPI YACHTS
As a matter of fact, this man has long been a fan of the James Bond 007 saga. To emphasize, Staluppi’s earlier creations include:
motor yacht OCTOPUSSY
motoryacht MOONRAKER
superyacht THUNDERBALL
M/Y THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH
mega yacht CASINO ROYALE (A fixture at Atlantis Resort and Marina on Paradise Island)
SINGULAR FOCUS OF BUILDS
CASINO ROYALE and DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER are built for true luxury at sea. Staluppi’s earlier Bond boats had a singular focus – SPEED. They were setting records as some of the fastest superyachts in the world. It was the 43.5 meter motor yacht OCTOPUSSY which broke the 50-knot speed barrier 20 years ago. This yacht brought the name of New York-born John Staluppi to the attention of yacht aficionados.
YACHT OWNER’S BEGINNINGS
He has a well-known background, but the self-made millionaire left school when he was 16 and worked as a mechanic in Brooklyn. Due to this, he developed one of the most successful car dealerships in North America. It was a business that enabled him to indulge his passion for racing fast boats. He then started building megayachts for himself.
In conclusion, many charter yacht owners prefer to remain anonymous. Staluppi’s vision and passion bring fervor and excitement to a very conservative industry. There aren’t many yachts aboard which guests are greeted by frosted-glass panels delicately etched with the silhouettes of Bond girls! The customized, whimsical James Bond boat themes are a refreshing breath of fresh air in an industry of white, cookie-cutter production boats. It must be remembered. Let’s hope Staluppi doesn’t run out of 007 movie titles, or his passion, any time soon.
BOOK A BOND BOAT
Live the adventure – come explore an exotic destination on a James Bond boat.
Today’s modern superyacht has every affluent amenity imaginable. For instance, from gymnasiums and helicopters, to onboard Kaleidescape movie theaters, The most requested amenity by charter guests remains the on-deck hot tub.
WAY TO UNWIND
Is there a better way to unwind each night during a yachting vacation than enjoying a warm soak under the stars?
HYDROTHERAPY
The benefits of hot tub hydrotherapy are well-documented – warm water therapy can promote relaxation, stress reduction and pain relief. It’s also a fun way to spend quality time with your travel companions – sipping wine and planning your next day’s adventures.
PORTABLE OR PERMANENT TUBS?
In the early years of the charter industry, most ondeck tubs were portable tubs – the same as those found in many homes. Today’s ondeck megayacht hydrotherapy tubs are permanent, built-in amenities, designed by naval architects and molded into the yacht’s superstructure.
TOP 5 HOT TUBS
Today we take a look at five of the best hydrotherapy tubs on five equally spectacular charter yachts:
SHERAKHAN
The 228-foot motor yacht SHERAKHANhas one of the largest sundeck hot tubs aboard any charter yacht. The tub features an opaque bottom, allowing natural light to filter into the two-story dining room directly below.
Top Yacht Hot Tubs – Sherakhan
ST. EKATERINA Benetti yacht charter enthusiasts like to brag about the hot tub onboard the 196ft motor yacht ST. EKATERINA(formerly motor yacht XANADU). The large tub is within easy viewing distance of a two-way cinema screen. Charter guests can enjoy a film while soaking in the tub, and then not miss a single scene while moving over to the sundeck wet bar for a refreshing cocktail.
BATON ROUGE The 205-foot Icon motor yacht BATON ROUGEfeatures an oversized sundeck hot tub that doubles as an endless pool with swimming jets for anyone wanting more than the regular water pressure. Overhead, cool-water jets shower guests in a light, refreshing mist.
ANDREAS L Another Benetti motor yacht, the 196ft yacht ANDREAS Lhas a hot tub with submerged bar stools, for guests who prefer to enjoy their refreshments sitting upright as opposed to the common hot tub lounging position.

NUMPTIA Leave it to the Italians to redefine the modern style of the ondeck hot tub. The owner of the 70 meter (230 ft) Rossi Navi motor yacht HIGH POWER III (ex-Numptia) turned to Design Studio Spadolini, of Florence to create a modern hot tub masterpiece. The floor-level tub and endless-style pool is the centerpiece on the yacht’s sun deck, and features colored mood lighting, an infinity glass edge on one side, and two powerful waterfall-style showers dropping volumes of water into the pool.
