QUANTUM OF WHA???
We never quite understood the meaning of Quantum of Solace as the title of the James Bond film. It doesn’t matter – naming superyachts in homage to Bond films is very popular. There are many James Bond boats as we like to call them. For instance, Octopussy, Skyfall, Casino Royale, and others.
There is even a superyacht named after the 2008 Bond film, Motoryacht QUANTUM OF SOLACE. The 72.6m superyacht was built in 2012 and refit in 2017. Here’s our description of the yacht on our charter website.

A MASTER NUMBER
Finally, a yacht with a name we can understand! Well…not really. We cheated and looked up the meaning. In numerology, the number 11 is considered a master number, and it signifies enlightenment. If you pair the number with itself, 11.11, it represents a message from the universe to become aware.

Recent reports in the Indian press indicate changes. Specifically, a new yachting culture has hit Indian shores. Globe-trotting Indians are starting to flaunt express cruisers and speedboats. These are the new symbols of wealth. In addition, families are renting large yachts for vacations together.

Malav Shroff of Mumbai-based Mahindra Ocean Group comments. “After you have luxury cars, upmarket living spaces, high-end accessories, and farmhouses, where would you spend your money?Yachts are becoming elements of aspiration for many.”
POWERBOATS SELLING
Anju Dutta, a sales broker for Marine Solutions says sports cruisers are hot picks. “We have sold 45 Sea Ray sports boats and cruisers in the last year…in places like Goa, Cochin, and Kolkata,” she says. Marine Solutions also gets demand for premium Italian models like the Ferretti 570 motor yacht. More commonly seen in the Mediterranean yacht charter market, such as the Ferretti motor yacht NUMBER OF COWES, interest in both buying and chartering mid-range Ferretti models in India is on the rise.

Jana Sheeder, President of 1-800 Yacht Charters has been monitoring the increased demand for yachts in India.
“Mumbai is the country’s yacht capital, says Sheeder. “The number of motoryachts in the city has increased form 100 to over 200 in the past three years. The city has over 700km of waterfront exposure and the Maharashtra government has plans to develop multiple marinas. This is truly an emerging yachting market.”
INDIAN EMPRESS
Many Indian-owned yachts are used exclusively by the owners. Further, others are now available for charter. Specifically, both in India and in ports around the world. Vijay Mallya owns the 95-meter motor yacht INDIAN EMPRESS. Sheeder and her company offer the yacht for hire. Her weekly rate is €600,000 plus expenses.
She represents one of the major challenges in yacht design, for instance, creating a look that is distinctive but not outlandish. Trinity yacht MINE GAMES, a trideck superyacht, has just the right balance. Her deck house side windows nest in elongated ovals to create a sleeker superstructure. Her prominent bow and raised bulwarks make her look much larger.

At last news of a $1.5 million price reduction for the 49.9m superyacht. St. Martin yacht charter enthusiasts need not worry – MINE GAMES remains available for luxury yacht charter. She is available in both the Bahamas and the Virgin and Leeward islands of the Caribbean.
HER BACKGROUND
MINE GAMES is a 2007 build – conforming to ABS class and MCA compliance. She accommodates up to 12 guests. Her accommodations include a master, three doubles, and a twin. Her twin includes a Pullman berth. The yacht cruises at a swift 18 knots.
EXTERIOR AND TOYS
Mine Games is helicopter-capable, and she has a very large swim platform/beach deck. To sweeten the deal, a Triton two-person submarine (a favorite toy for yacht charter guests) is included in the new asking price of $31.45 million.
