Sunseeker 28 yacht charter boat
This new yacht model is making its world debut at the 2012 Tullett Prebon London Boat Show in January 2012. Sunseeker Yachts unveils the new Sunseeker 28 model.
She is the first of a distinctive new generation. It combines the latest in innovation and technology. The new 28 is the perfect platform for term charters of 4 to 8 guests.
Sunseeker 28 main salon
The 2012 Sunseeker 28 shows a new “look” for the famous performance yacht builder. Most captivating is the remarkable extent of main deck glazing. Full height and pillarless, the glazing flows continuously down the sides and around the rear of the saloon, where it merges with the aft patio doors. This new wrap-around glazing gives the main deck accommodation a unique, panoramic floor-to-ceiling view and a bright, sun-filled interior.
External conversation areas on the foredeck and flybridge have been innovated with new sunpad and group seating formats. The expansive foredeck has given rise to a completely new seating/sunpad layout with a center companionway emphasizing the increased social areas.
The large flybridge deck offers unrivaled room for any mega yacht charter vessels in the 25 to 30 meter range. This space can be tailored to suit every owner’s needs – from spa tubs to extended sunpads, this area will have multiple entertainment layouts.
Offering a breakthrough in interior layout and design, the Sunseeker 28 features interior furnishings selected from the 2012 Sunseeker Collection of materials and linings, ensuring that the striking exterior design continues throughout the interior. Two individual stairways lead down to four well appointed (and spacious) staterooms, including two VIP double staterooms and a full-beam master suite. Each cabin incorporates the large viewing window now synonymous with Sunseeker design.
With excellent performance speeds, modern exterior lines, and refined interiors, the new Sunseeker 28 is a remarkable new craft. She will soon join similar-sized 2011 models already in charter such as Sunseeker Predator 84 yacht FIRECRACKER and Sunseeker 34 yacht TUPPENCE.

The words, “fast” and “displacement” rarely appear in sentences about yachts. In the first place, displacement yachts tend to be built heavier and wider. This is to achieve maximum comfort. Trade-off for this stability at sea is traditionally speed. However, one builder continues to throw convention to the wind.
Italy’s Benetti Yachts, unveils a third generation of fast yachts. This rounds out an extensive range of vessels. For instance, class range semi-custom displacement vessels from 93′ to 145′ and custom-built megayachts starting at 45 meters.
This new fast displacement line of composite vessels includes two models. Not only Benetti F-140 (2012), but also brand new Benetti F-125. As with other models, the new line Benetti F-125 is designed to be truly versatile. In addition, it offers speed when needed, but also offers fuel efficiency and comfort.
In a recent press release, Benetti CEO Vincenzo Poerio touted the new line.
“Many of our clients have requested faster, more versatile, and efficient boats, while maintaining the same level of comfort and customization found in our existing yachts. The new Fast Displacement line is designed precisely in response to these requests, and it rounds out our current offering in the Class Range. We haven’t just created a new series; we have invested time and resources – combining the Benetti’s 140 years of experience in super yachts with the technological know-how of Azimut Benetti Group – to create a new way of heading out to sea.”
Comfortable luxurious European styling make Benetti yachts popular. Equally important, yacht charter customers often request Benetti yachts by name.
There are many popular Benetti motoryacht charter vessels. For example, SILVER ANGEL, CHECKMATE, and DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER. Diamonds Are Forever is the latest James Bond boat to honor the film franchise. Silver Angel is designed specifically for long-range cruising. Checkmate is a 2013 addition to the #Monaco yacht charter marketplace.

Pershing 82 motoryacht
The highly anticipated motor yacht Pershing 82 is on schedule to debut in the spring of 2012. A contemporary reinterpretation of its predecessor, the Pershing 80, the Pershing 82 is the ninth model added to the builder’s series of open performance yachts.
Mediterranean yacht charter fans looking for a swift yacht take note! In keeping with Pershing’s emphasis on performance, the new 82 model will be capable of a 45-knot top end, thanks to twin MTU 16V M93s. Cruising speed is expected to be an equally-swift at 40 knots.
Such performance will ensure you get to St. Tropez for lunch and back to the dock at the Cannes Film Festival in time for cocktails.
Designed by Fulvio De Simoni and a team of architects at Centro Stile Ferretti Group, the Pershing 82 performance yacht features an external profile that is sleeker and more aggressive than that of its predecessor. The elongated superstructure enhances the new attractive forms while the sundeck with retractable platform makes the yacht look slimmer.
The yacht is 24.97 meters long. It features the traditional mega yacht charter layout. For instance, it has 4 comfortable guest cabins. In the middle of the boat, the master suite exists. Forward of that is the VIP cabin. Two twin bed cabins are at the front of the boat.

“Keep it Fresh” – that’s the challenge charter brokers face when dealing with repeat customers.
Cruising in the Bahamas is no exception – after all, how many times can charterers circle around Grand Bahama, or make the milk run from Nassau to the Exumas and back before finally saying, “Been there…Done that…”
The irony of cruising in the Bahamas is the fact that there are HUNDREDS of unique islands and protected coves. The challenge – the Bahamas encompass 180,000 square miles of ocean space – and charterers can only visit a handful of islands during a typical week-long yachting holiday.
But Jana Sheeder, President of 1-800 Yacht Charters has come up with the perfect solution to keeping her clients excited and their trips to the Bahamas unique and fresh: SPEED and a SECRET island.
Sheeder addresses the “speed” component by means of one of the fastest mega yachts for charter anywhere in the world – the iconic James Bond yacht OCTOPUSSY. Once the world record holder as the fastest luxury yacht on the planet, a $7 million dollar refit has this 12-passenger yacht looking better than the day she was launched in 1988.
“All of her upgrades – extending the sun deck, adding a Jacuzzi-style hot tub, etcetera, have added some weight, and have slowed her down – just a bit” says Sheeder, “but she can still cruise 2 to 3 times faster than similar-sized luxury yachts.”
A recent private inspection of Octopussy and a meeting with her captain and crew gave Sheeder an idea on a unique charter itinerary, built around visiting a secret, uninhabited island. “Heesen yacht Octopussy is not just fast – she also has a shallow draft – much shallower than most megayachts. This means she can get into shallow, protected coves and achorages in the Bahamas that are off limits to most superyacht charter vessels,” says Sheeder.
With the help of the captain, Sheeder identified a special island – far from the typical cays visited by yachts based in Nassau.
“We located a beautiful, remote island, protected by the Bahamian government. The island and the surrounding water park have one of the healthiest ecosystems in all of the Bahamas. It’s truly one of the loveliest islands in the Bahamas, and rises out of the deep ocean about 15 miles east of the closest inhabited major island. There are miles of pink sand beaches, gorgeous sandstone cliffs, and an extraordinary abundance of wildlife, both on the island and in the surrounding waters.”
Sheeder will not reveal the location of the secret island. NOPE. She keeps that information private for charter clients. “We work hard at creating a point of difference. Specifically, between our services and those of our competitors. We continually look for an edge. Important proprietary info allows us to deliver The Superyacht Experience™ to our clients, since 1976.”
She does get a sheepish grin when she talks about this special place and the role motor yacht Octopussy plays. “Other yachts cannot offer you this secret island destination. It is simply too far to travel and return to Nassau in a week’s time. Octopussy has the ability to cruise at 25 knots or even faster, and can easily reach this destination and get back in a timely fashion to Nassau. Plus, her shallow draft means OUR clients can enjoy quiet anchorages that few yachts can normally enter.”
Sheeder explains some wildlife clients can expect to encounter at this protected island and the surrounding sea park. For instance, many threatened and endangered species. The Bahamian government reports long tail tropic birds, sooty terns, oyster catchers, and osprey nest on the island and surrounding cays. At the center of the island is a large mangrove and creek habitat that serves as a nursery for fish, sharks, conch, and crawfish. Green turtles have been seen foraging off the southwestern shore of the island, and in the northern bay. The coral reefs and grass flats in the surrounding sea are very healthy and offer a home to an abundance of sea life.
“It’s an amazing ecosystem,” says Sheeder, “Worthy of visiting, and more importantly, protecting for future generations. We are so excited to share this fresh and secret destination with our Nassau yacht charter clients.” #protectmarinelife
Octopussy is based year-round in Lyford Cay (Nassau), Bahamas. Weekly charter rate begin at $120,000 per week plus running expenses (items such as food, fuel, bar, dockage, etc.).
