Turkey’s Proteksan Turquoise Yachts Inc and London-based H2 Yacht Design join together. The team that produced the popular Miami yacht charter vessel, SEQUEL P, and the award-winning motor yacht VICKY, are joining forces once again.
The new build currently named Turquoise Yachts Project Barracuda splashes down in 2019.
Turquoise Yachts and H2 again reprise their collaboration. They specialize in practicality and spaciousness. The proven 70-meter platform gains international notice. In 2013 at the Showboats Design Awards, where Proteksan Turquoise charter yacht VICKY won multiple awards for “Best Interior Layout” and “Best Recreational Area for Guest Use.”
Interior spaces will again be designed by H2’s Ken Freivokh. Freivokh’s clean conception will include his signature triple-deck high atrium amidships. The natural light flows throughout the superyacht’s interior.
Charter guest accommodations will include a large master suite, two VIP staterooms and four additional guest cabins. A full beam sky lounge and beach club with spa features adorn the yacht. It accommodates wellness yacht charter clients.In addition, it has an onboard cinema.
The Turkish yard and London designers also collaborated on the 70 meter motor yacht TALISMAN C, and the 54 meter motor yacht TURQUOISE, both launched in 2011.

Jana Sheeder
As the year draws to a close, luxury yacht charter maven Jana Sheeder, President of SailAway Yacht Charter Consultants and 1-800 Yacht Charters, is beaming.
“We’ve closed our year with the addition of 40 brand new 2011 models to our global network of yacht charter vessels. The largest of our new offerings is the 81 meter Feadship motor yacht AIR, followed by Proteksan Turquoise yacht TALISMAN MAITON (ex-Talisman C) and Rossi Navi motor yacht HIGH POWER III (ex-Numptia), both 70 meters in overall length.”
Sheeder’s companies have a reputation of offering the newest and largest yachts in the world’s best destinations. She and her teams spend countless hours identifying potential charter yachts.
“Rarely do we add any yacht to our fleet that is more than two to three years old, “ says Sheeder. “Even when we consider classic-styled yachts, we prefer to promote modern reproductions of famous yachts. Clients know they can turn to us for yachts that are on the cutting edge of new technology and styling.”

An example of Sheeder’s pursuit of modern yachts is the newly launched 47 meter sail yacht GERMANIA NOVA, a replica of a classic racing schooner first launched in 1908. Says Sheeder,
“Turn of the century guests onboard the original yacht would marvel at the technological comforts onboard this modern vessel. From satellite televisions to 5.1 Dolby surround sound, the only thing ‘old’ on this yacht is the classic design.”
Important to realize, many of the new yachts are award winners in global design competitions. Competitions, for instance, the annual ShowBoats Design Awards.
“We pay close attention to these competitions,” reports Sheeder. “The best designers and naval architects in the world judge these yachts. Odds are great that if the best minds in the industry like a boat, our clients will, too.”

Recent award winners promoted by SailAway to their clients include late 2010 launch Perini Navi motor yacht EXUMA (Best Exterior Design & Styling Award: Displacement Motor Yachts 100-199). Also, the 42 meter Holland Jachtbouw motor yacht CALLIOPE (Best Exterior Design & Styling Award: Semi-displacement Motor Yachts).
In conclusion, as to the new year, Sheeder is even more optimistic.
“Our research indicates that 72 new megayachts were ordered in 2011, the largest at 100 meters, and an average length of almost 43 meters. Eighty per cent of these newly-built yachts will be launched in 2012 or 2013, and we’ll surely have an entirely new inventory of yachts-for-hire to present to our discriminating clientele!”

Proteksan Turquoise yacht TALISMAN C replaces her little sister, 54 meter TALISMAN C1 in the charter market. Her owner enjoys a leisurely world cruise aboard this gorgeous vessel beforehand.
Proteksan Turquoise launched this yacht. It is the largest release from the Pendik facility. The project was the result of a repeat order; the previous Talisman, now named TALISMAN C1, was launched for the same owner at Proteksan Turquoise in 2006.
Currently undergoing sea trials on the Sea of Marmara, the final handover of the yacht to her owner is planned for mid June, 2011. Following a short Mediterranean yacht cruising schedule, the vessel will then appear at the Monaco Yacht Show in September. Prior to entering the charter market, the owner will then embark on a two year private world cruise.
Once the world cruise is completed, TALISMAN C will join the charter fleet.
The yacht features an “Art Deco” theme throughout salon and seating areas. The interior has a rich combination of flame mahogany and maple burl, combined together to give the yacht a warm, contemporary feel. The centerpiece is the spiral staircase with a beautiful, custom made chandelier hanging the length of three floors.
Features abound, including a sky lounge, full height gym area, and an impressive master cabin with a private steam room, owner’s library, and an office that can convert to a guest double cabin.
