You deserve to join the fun! Charter a sailboat and partake of the Florida Keys festivities!
Key West has parades, street parties, and thousands of adult revelers in zany costumes at Fantasy Fest. It happens for one week in October. This year’s event is October 21 through 30, 2011.
Sail catamaran SURPRISE is offering a unique Florida yacht charter opportunity to sail to Key West from Miami, Florida. Guests also enjoy the Fantasy Fest festivities from the comfort of this 48′ luxury sailing charter catamaran.
Similar to the Mardi Gras-themed events in New Orleans, Fantasy Fest is an adult-oriented Halloween festival. This year’s theme is “Aquatic Afrolic” and offers a sea of opportunities to create a one-of-a-kind costume extravaganza, ranging from marvelous mermaids to outlandish ocean-faring sea creatures.
While full nudity is not permitted, many scantily-clad party goers wear outrageous, brightly-colored costumes, or simply opt for strategically drawn body paint and glitter in lieu of shirts and bikini tops.
There are parades and costume contest each evening, the largest being the “Pretenders in Paradise” Costume Party hosted by the Pier House Resort and Caribbean Spa. Major event sponsors include Captain Morgan Rum and the Florida Keys Tourism Association.Sailing yacht SURPRISE is a 48′ catamaran with accommodations for 2 couples. Her crew of two, Corky and Sue Clark have sailed for years throughout South Florida and the Caribbean. During Fantasy Fest, charter guests can spend the days sailing and exploring the beaches and shallow reefs of the lower Florida Keys, and at night hit the streets for the endless parties and festivities.
Standard charter rates apply: $8,500/wk for 2 passengers and $9,950/wk for 4 guests. Rates are all-inclusive (include meals and ship’s bar). Local taxes apply.

Yesterday, a client texted us from his 170 foot Feadship yacht charter vessel. “@anchor next 2 yacht Eclipse n Rising Sun…no 1 else here!”
Normally, with less than a week before New Year’s Eve, the quay at Port du Gustavia is already packed with yachts, stern-to and packed like sardines, side-by-side. The annual St Barts yacht charter scene is the place to be, as A-list celebrities and corporate CEO’s spend the week yacht-hopping and partying.
So far this week, the big names – and big boats – have not arrived.
A recent yachting industry report ads credence to the first-hand observations in St Barts. The annual Superyachting Index analyses the global luxury yacht industry. The Index has three sections (new construction, brokerage, and charter) and covers yachts 80 feet and larger.
According to industry maven, Jana Sheeder, President of SailAway Yacht Charter Consultants and 1-800 Yacht Charters,
“A lack of demand continues to put downward pressure on charter rates. A weak global economy coupled with a significant increase in the number of available yachts for hire means more yachts are competing for charter business. Add to this a host of other heavily-discounted vacation options, such as upscale villa and resort ski packages, and the number of clients electing to go boating has dwindled to 2006 recession levels.”
The Index supports Sheeder’s assertions. The size of the yacht charter industry grew more than 23 percent in 2010. As of 2009, there were about 850 yachts available for charter. In 2010, the number of yachts available rose to 1,049.
This trend is especially evident in the category of yachts from 30 to 50 meters (about 100 to 165 feet). There was a 28 per cent increase in the number of these yachts on the charter market in 2010. Consequently, the same market segment saw a reduction of 10.7 per cent in weekly base rates.
In addition, the overall number of charter weeks sold worldwide in 2010 decreased by 9 percent from those of 2009. That means that in addition to increased competition, there were fewer clients booking.
All luxury travel companies are looking forward to a healthier economy.

Brand new 2016 Sunseeker 155 model named motor yacht PRINCESS AVK launched. Her experienced charter-friendly crew and owner make an announcement. They want to secure a South of France yacht charter right out of the gate.
Having great success with the owner’s first charter yacht, the 40 meter Sunseeker yacht Princess K, the team at 1-800 Yacht Charters could barely contain their excitement, awaiting the launch of this newest “Princess.”
“Last summer, as the conclusion of a super-successful charter onboard Princess K, Captain Julian Sincock informed us that his boss was quietly building a brand new and larger Sunseeker, and was eager for us to promote her for charter upon her launch,” reports Jana Sheeder, President of 1-800 Yacht Charters. “We immediately spread the word to our preferred clients and set up an online brochure.”
This Sunseeker 155 is the largest model built to date by the British shipbuilder. “Mega yacht PRINCESS AVK is prepared to take her place next to her sister-ship, the Sunseeker yacht BLUSH as the two highest profile tri-deck charter yachts in the 45 to 50 meter size category,” says Sheeder. “Their contemporary styling is rivaled by no other builder, with the possible exception of the Dutch-built Heesen yachts.”
More Sunseeker models currently available for charter
The yacht is in the water for less than a month. She secured bookings for 17-24 July (Cannes – Ibiza) and 01-21 August (Ibiza – Cannes). Yes, you read that correctly – she CAN legally go to Spain for Balearic islands yacht charter. Fully-licensed for Spanish waters. she is one of the largest yachts legally able to charter in Spain this summer.
Captain Sincock, however, is itching to get started sooner, and the yacht and his team are ready and in position in the South of France to accept a Monaco Historic Grand Prix charter or a Cannes Film Festival charter in May.
At 47.24 meters (154 feet 11 inches), the yacht offers accommodations for 12 guests in 6 cabins including an ample full beam master, two VIP double staterooms and three additional cabins that easily convert from twins to doubles offering greater flexibility during charter. The master and VIP cabins boast floor to ceiling windows, giving a new meaning to a “room with a view.”
Her unmatched connection with the sea is evident. Unfurling balconies on either side of the main deck saloon are majestic. Additionally, French doors in the skylounge open onto a fold-down terrace. The soothing beach house vibe undulates. The lines between indoor and outdoor spaces beautifully blur.
The yacht is the ideal platform for a corporate event – like hosting a film festival party or watching the race cars scream by during the Grand Prix. The main aft deck features a relaxed seating area with coffee tables – perfect for relaxing at cocktail hour. A glamorous bar and dining area tuck under the radar arch of the open-air sun deck. A spa tub forward allows unparalleled views while moored stern-to.
Come enjoy The Superyacht Experience™ on what Sheeder calls, “The hottest superyacht on the Med charter market this summer!”
Rates from €225,000 per week. Moreover, hurry and contact 1-800 Yacht Charters at https://www.1800yachtcharters.com/book-now-contact-us/ right away. She is in demand!

St. Tropez
The same holds true in the mega yacht charter industry. As more and larger yachts clamor for dockage, vessels without advanced reservations are often forced to anchor at sea and tender their clients ashore.
Nowhere is this more evident than in Saint-Tropez, France. The jewel of the Côte d’Azur, when “The Season” arrives, the odds of securing a slip in the fabled town’s small marina are next to impossible – no matter who you are or who you know…

As they say, Good things come to those who wait.
In the case of #Benetti yacht #ULYSSES, a more timely saying is, “You snooze…you lose!”
To encourage some pre-season charters before the summer crowds arrive in the Mediterranean, 1-800 Yacht Charters has announced deep discounts in the weekly charter rate for Super yacht ULYSSES, now (April) through May, 2016 in Italy, #Monaco, and the South of France.
The charter rate has been slashed from €255,000 per week down to €200,000 per week – a savings of 22%.
The black hull and cool beige superstructure of 183 foot Benetti superyacht is striking. Her size imposes, but she is inviting in layout and amenities. Indeed, her exterior is modern and unique in design. Her Stefano Natucci interior is majestic. The yacht features classical decorations. For instance, marble artworks, chandeliers, and rare pictures. Her decor melds Renaissance and Baroque. It also features a few subtle touches of Gothic Art.
Entering the saloon, you can admire an antique grand piano hand-crafted by Steinway & Sons over 100 years ago. Don’t worry if no one in your charter party knows how to play – the piano has been fitted with a digital controller, allowing it to play Tchaikovsky, Chopin, or even a more contemporary tune.
A maximum 12 guests are accommodated in 6 staterooms. The Master Suite is situated on the main deck and features an office, hairdressing salon, and en suite bathroom with adjacent steam room. Completing the massive suite is a private observation lounge, looking forward. A VIP Stateroom is located on the upper deck to starboard (right), and offers a panoramic view of the sea. Four guest staterooms are located on the lower deck and feature two twin cabins and two double cabins.
Guests can dine at one of three dining tables, each accommodating up to 12 guests. #Formal meals can be served at the dining table in the main salon, while casual affairs can be plated on the covered aft deck, or al fresco on the sun deck.
A Special Events discount is also available for a Cannes Film Festival yacht charter and/or a #MonacoGrandPrix yacht charter. For special events, Ulysses’ discounted rate is €255,000 per week, reduced from the regular event rate of €280,000 per week.
Hurry – Select high season #rentayacht dates in July and August are still available on this and other similar #superyachts! For further information, contact the 1-800 Yacht Charters team by email at info@1800yachtcharters.com or call our 24 hour hotline at 305-720-7245.
