ABOUT MOTOR YACHT ARBEMA

In 2008 a brand new yacht named RESILIENCE was launched in Italy.  Fast forward 11 years.  The yacht owner decided to sell.  His superyacht had developed a great yacht charter reputation.  But, he was ready for a larger yacht. Thus, it was time for the luxury yacht charter vessel to find a new owner.  Motor yacht RESILIENCE was listed for sale.  She was displayed at the September 2019 Monaco Yacht Show.  Subsequently, just three months later, the yacht had a new owner.  Her new name is yacht ARBEMA (ex Resilience).

WHY IS SHE PERFECT FOR CHARTER?

It’s easy to why this yacht is perfect for yacht charters.  For example, the yacht only weighs 591GT.  Most yachts this size and weight only offer 5 guest cabins.  Yacht ARBEMA offers 6 guest cabins.  This allows the 12-person crew to host up to 12 guests.  There are six separate guest cabins.  All cabins feature entertainment centers, TV’s, and en-suite bathroom facilities.

DESIGN

The new owner refit the entire interior and exterior in 2020.  It is a minimalist-contemporary design by Vincent Van Duysen.   A recent guest described the look as, “…furnishings are neutral, creating a sophisticated atmosphere…”  The designer’s own description of his work (from his website) reads

“The use of pure and tactile materials translates into clean, timeless design. With respect to context and tradition, it’s an approach within which the senses, and the physical experience of space, textures and light place the integrity of the user at its core. Functionality, durability and comfort are the prime components of the work, an architectural language not shy to convey aesthetics, but prone to eschew fashion and trends.”

All interiors are decorated in oak wood paneling.  The wooden flooring is Wenge.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Each stateroom has a bidet in the bathroom, a mini bar, and spacious closets.  Additionally, the staterooms also have LCD TVs, DVD players, and Sky TV with independent decoders.  A satellite radio and CD player is also available in each cabin for audio entertainment.  All cabins have safes and the master stateroom has three.

DECKS

Each deck of the yacht has an independent music system; thus, different music can be played on each deck.

ACTIVITY ON YACHT

Most active guests like to get off the yacht and into the water.  This yacht carries a large inventory of watertoys.  For example, there are toys that can be towed behind a tender. Specifically, there is a Connelly Orbiter (3 Seater), two Connelly “BIG O” single seaters, and a Connelly 2-person Fly Tube.  And there are more.  The towable toys are towed behind a 23ft Castoldi tender.  The tender is fast.  As a matter of fact, it boasts a 265hp Yanmar outboard engine.

EVEN MORE TOYS

There are many other toys.  To begin with, there are two SeaDoo waverunners (with intelligent brake & reverse systems).  Next, there is a Hover board, a Fly board, four paddleboards, two inflatable kayaks, and an underwater Subwing.  Surprisingly, there are even more toys including a waterslide and snorkeling gear.   The list of toys and sports gear goes on.

WHERE DOES ARBEMA CHARTER?

The most popular summer charter destination is the Western Mediterranean.  Conversely, the most popular destination in the winter is the Caribbean.  Motoryacht ARBEMA offers yacht charter vacations in both locations.

For instance, in the western Mediterranean, the yacht is licensed for charter in France.  It can also offer charters in Italy, Spain and Croatia.  In the Caribbean, the yacht is available in British Virgin Islands. Upon request, the yacht can also charter in the Leeward Islands, Bahamas, and Windward Islands.

HOW MANY CREWMEMBERS?

Super yacht ARBEMA (ex Resilience) is operated by a professional crew of 12. The senior crew includes a captain, a first officer, a lead stewardess, a chef and an engineer.  These leaders are assisted by a team of deckhands, stewards and stewardesses.

Captains and First Officers are specifically trained in navigation and advanced seamanship.  Seamanship involves understanding weather, tides, and wave patterns.  The goal is to understand the effect of these elements on the safe operation of the yacht.

ALL ABOUT THE CREW

The interior staff (stewards and stewardesses) take courses in hospitality. The focal points are interior maintenance, silver service, barista, valet, cocktails, wine and floristry.

The deckhands are trained in areas of general nautical concepts, with a focus on the safe operation of the yacht and shipboard cleaning and maintenance.  Deckhands also assist the charter clients with the safe use of watertoys.

Most importantly, all crew onboard yacht ARBEMA undergo extensive training in the safe operation of the yacht.

NUMBER OF STATEROOMS?

Superyacht ARBEMA can accommodate a maximum of 12 guests in her six guest staterooms.  Specifically, there is a large master suite on the main deck.  Second, the VIP suite is located on the bridge deck.  Finally, there are two double and two twin cabins on the lower deck.

WHAT SPECIAL FEATURES DOES SHE HAVE?

Comfort is critical to a luxury yacht charter vacation.  The Mediterranean sea can be wavy.  Nevertheless, guests onboard yacht ARBEMA do not notice.  Cruising is very comfortable.  The yacht has stabilizers.  One stabilizer makes the yacht comfortable when moving.  The other stabilizer keeps the yacht from pitching or rolling.

FORMAL DINING

White glove table service is available for guests who enjoy a formal dining experience.  The luxury brand Christofle is used for tableware, flatware, and silverware.  Stemware is presented in both Christofle and Riedel glassware.

OTHER FEATURES

Both interior and exterior decks have extensive audio-visual entertainment systems.

Vidabox Media Servers offer an extensive movie and music library.  These servers are iTune compatible for guests who wish to access their own music and movie collections.  iPod docking stations are located on all decks.  Crestron controls the yacht’s entertainment system, using mini iPads.  Guests use the iPads available on all decks and in all cabins.

ARBEMA is an approved RYA PWC (personal watercraft) training center.  This allows guests to obtain training and licenses for the use of the yacht’s personal watercraft (waverunners).  Many charter destinations now require a license for anyone operating a PWC.
