When launched, sailing yacht ATHENA was the world’s largest private sailing yacht.  Custom-built by Royal Huisman in 2004, the three-masted schooner was designed by Pieter Beeldsnijder, both interior and exterior, with naval architecture by Dykstra, and interior design by Rebecca Bradley.  This 90 meter work of art is still one of the largest private yacht charter sailing yachts on the market.

INTERIOR

Lightly-stained mahogany adorns the interiors of schooner ATHENA, enriching the air of classic comfort.  To avoid a feeling of overwhelming space, Beeldsnijder divided the social areas and accommodations into “human size” proportions.  The result is a yacht that feels welcoming and exudes old world charm. Soft furnishings and fabrics are used throughout the interior, further enhancing the warmth that recalls a golden age of sailing.

ACCOMMODATIONS

The schooner’s interior layout accommodates up to 10 guests in 5 staterooms, including a master suite, 3 double cabins, and 1 twin cabin.
