The elegant luxury motor yacht LADY SHERIDAN features an interesting layout and offers comfortable accommodations for 12 guests in 6-7 cabins.
She was built by the famous Abeking & Rasmussen Shipyard, and the renowned interior designer, Donald Starkey, created her interior.
She is the second motor yacht named Lady Sheridan. The first was a 148-foot motor yacht built by Feadship. Consequently, owned by the same couple. That yacht’s captain, chef, engineer, and chief stewardess all are onboard the new yacht, having completed about eight months of planning before helping to incorporate ideas at the shipyard — a function of the owners wanting the crew to have everything they need to provide top-notch service.
Lady Sheridan is the first yacht from Abeking & Rasmussen to have Hamann soot cleaners on its generators, whose exhausts are located on the yacht’s top deck. On some yachts with this setup, guest chairs can get blasted with nasty, black ash. That will never happen onboard this mega yacht.
The builder is also the first to fit a superyacht with the newest model of zero-speed stabilizers from Quantum Marine. It’s a setup that should make rolling and pitching at sea virtually nonexistent.
Breakdowns during a luxury yacht charter are a rarity thanks to her heavy-duty engineering. The sea keeping ability of this boat is incredible.
The interior décor is just as impressive. The designer worked hand-in-hand with the owners. The husband was involved in things like the audiovisual and communications systems, while the wife — who does interior design for commercial buildings — handled every detail of the interior décor.
There are different styles and tones of wood throughout the yacht, as well as countless objets d’art, carpets with inlays, and embroidered fabrics.
The design of the yacht itself enhances the décor, too. Each of the guest cabins is entered through a set of double doors instead of a single one. This look adds a level of elegance. Even the seating in the outdoor guest space on the bridge deck is thoughtfully placed, with a main bench seat as well as cozy corner nooks on each side for watching the sunset. What a smart idea! This will be an ideal yacht for a Caribbean yacht charter or a Mediterranean yacht charter.
The master suite is forward on the main deck. It has his and her baths adjoined by a large rain shower. In addition, wth his and her dressing rooms. The master suite also has a large private office.
There is also a “quiet cabin” with a full bathroom near the master suite on the main deck. It can serve as a staff or child’s cabin, or as a retreat for light sleepers. This is a feature that will enhance luxury yacht charters no matter what kind of group comes aboard.
On the bridge deck, the VIP suite is conveniently located opposite the guest library and office. Four additional guest cabins (3 doubles and 1 double/twin) are on the lower deck. The two aft cabins open into a third full width VIP suite. All cabins have ensuite showers.
Like most superyachts, she has a full range of water toys. In addition, she has high-speed internet facilities and Satellite TV throughout the yacht. She also features an outdoor fitness area on the sundeck with 2 elliptical training machines, each with TV.
