An Italian builder of luxury yachts has entered new territory with the launch of the Sanlorenzo 460EXP yacht MOKA. The yard’s first explorer model, this 42 meter private yacht charter vessel was expressly built for long range cruising in ultra-luxurious comfort. Equipped with two 1319hp Caterpillar C32 Acert engines, the yacht is capable of covering over 4000 nautical miles at an economical speed of 11 knots. For charter guests, this translates to the ability to visit remote destinations, far removed from the typical crowded tourist destinations frequented by other charter yachts. Charter guests onboard San Lorenzo motor yacht MOKA will enjoy the tranquility of a yacht whose interior décor boasts the heavy use of woods such as mahogany and teak, matched with elegant and timeless furniture.
As to layout Sanlorenzo 460EXP yacht MOKA offers five cabins for guest accommodations, as well as a gym on the lower deck. A vast Master suite is situated on the main deck, with two salons on the main and upper decks.
Florence-based designer Francesco Paszkowski is credited with the sensual yet rugged exterior look of the yacht. Regarding his design, he said, “We mixed two different worlds. The purpose was to design a luxury yacht while keeping the appearance of a commercial boat, combining safety with maximum comfort.” Paszkowski’s design has the superstructure shifted forward, which in turn makes the main aft deck is a spectacular space for socializing and enjoying the outdoors. A large crane can lift and stow toys and tenders on this deck, yet when at anchor, the area can quickly be cleared for the enjoyment of the charter guests.
Versatility is the key to this yacht as the ultimate charter vessel. With a practical aft deck and high all-weather bow, she can travel almost anywhere. Comfortable cruising is combined with the ability to covert deckspace into recreational areas, and coupled with refined amenities inside and out.
The yacht’s strong visual lines include wide glass windows that flood the interior with warmth and light and offer magnificent views from the salons and staterooms. Other noteworthy amenities include a beach club with bar, and an infinity pool with resistance swimming jets on the main deck.
The interior design, handled by Sanlorenzo’s in-house team is light, modern and as one observer noted, “Eminently livable.” A light-dark contrast of white oak and mahogany serves as the backdrop for low-slung contemporary furniture, sumptuous carpets and wall panels made from exotic materials.
