Based on the Costa Smeralda, in Sardinia, Italy, motor yacht TAKOARI is an 80 foot American-built vessel. Her four cabin layout makes her ideal for up to eight guests. An impressive cruising speed of 23 knots, combined with her manageable size makes this an ideal yacht for exploring the small coves along the coastline of Sardinia and neighboring Corsica and Elba. Hatteras yacht TAKOARI is operated by a crew of three – a skipper, chef, and deckhand.
Accommodations onboard M/Y TAKORI include a master stateroom, plus two double cabins and one twin cabin. Crew quarters are far removed from the guest cabins, ensuring total privacy.
The interior design is modern, minimalist. As you enter the salon from the aft deck, you notice rich wood floors, covered partially by a dark ebony area rug. Couch seating is situated to the port and starboard, allowing easy access through the center, and forward to the 8-person dining table. The dining area chairs perfectly compliment the crème colors of the salon couches, making the entire room appear larger than it is. Behind a wall and forward of the dining area are the galley, and crew quarters.
Aft of the salon is an open air deck, with bench seating, flat panel television, and an al-fresco dining table. A set of stairs to port leads to the fly-bridge. The fly bridge can also be accessed directly from the salon. On the fly bridge, guests will find ample space for socializing, as well as lounging in the sun. Sun pads open to the sky are positioned in the aft section, while curved bench seating is starboard, under a covered canopy. Across from the bench seating area is a full wetbar, with four built in stools.
Did you Know — Remember the famous scene in the film, “The Spy who Loved Me” where James Bond drives his Lotus Esprit out of the sea? That was filmed on Sardinia’s Costa Smeralda.
