Feadship motor yacht hull 677, HURRICANE RUN’s build occurred at the famed Netherlands shipyard, Koninklijke De Vries Scheepsbouw. The 53.50-meter Mediterranean yacht charter megayacht HURRICANE RUN soon became a favorite for luxury yacht charter.
She follows the tradition of her owner’s previous yacht, Thunder Gulch, (now named MARLA) and current yacht, High Chaparral. HURRICANE RUN is also named after a winning racehorse. Naval Architects De Voogt designed her exterior as a development of a well proven-concept. The design creates an elegant and sleek-looking superyacht. The yacht features a striking interior by Terence Disdale. It is a bright and contemporary design.
The Mediterranean yacht charter superyacht offers accommodations for up to 12 guests in six cabins, including a large owner’s cabin forward on the main deck. Her full-width upper deck salon opens up to a large aft deck, creating a stunning indoor/outdoor living area. Other features include a huge sun deck with a large Jacuzzi and sunbathing area. The sundeck is divided in two areas by full windbreak doors.
The manufacturer is a Dutch luxury superyacht building company which has a fine pedigree of good design principles and high quality construction techniques. They have produced many fine Caribbean yacht charter vessels over the years and some of the older luxury yacht rental vessels are still performing well today. The brand is synonymous with class and quality, and they make fine charter yachts.
The company combines two Netherlands shipyards. In specific, separately established but came together in 1949. The De Vries and Royal Van Lent families founded the company, FEADSHIP – the name stands for the First Export Association of Dutch Shipbuilders. The company has seen recent advances in the building of modern technologically-advanced and cutting-edge superyachts. Recent yachts designed and launched by the famous yard shows an interesting departure from the traditional yacht design. There is now a desire within the company to lead the luxury motor yacht industry with new ideas and innovations.
Over the years, the company has been responsible for the more than 200 luxury yachts in navigation today. This large number of yachts built is a testament to the shipyard’s experience as well as an achievement in reliability. With five major large luxury yachts launched each year, the First Export Association of Dutch Shipbuilders (Feadship) is acknowledged as global leader in the construction of premium quality displacement motor yachts.
