When it comes to naming a superyacht, the sources of inspiration seem limitless.
Many owners select the name of their spouse, or their children. Others opt for themes, such as romance and affection. Of course, movie-themed names remain popular as well (e.g. John and Jeanette Staluppi and their James Bond yacht selection including DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER, CASINO ROYALE and Benetti yacht SPECTRE, Project FB269.
For the multi-yacht owner of the 83 meter Amels motor yacht HERE COMES THE SUN, the inspiration is musical, and somewhat obvious to most Baby Boomers – songs by The Beatles.
His last two yachts were the 47 meter Heesen yacht LET IT BE and the 65 meter Amels Limited Editions 212 yacht IMAGINE (now renamed re-named INFINITE SHADES).
In a way, the name seems entirely appropriate – this yacht is nothing short of a behemoth, and does seem to be the size of the sun when silhouetted against the evening skyline. The new flagship of the fabled Dutch yard and the first Amels Limited Editions 272, the yacht comes in at 2827 gross tons, more than the 95 meter Lurssen yacht KISMET (2700GT).

BAD NEWS / GOOD NEWS
The bad news: The popular Mulder yacht SOLIS is now booked for a New Year’s charter.
The good news: She is still open for Christmas and her owner has waived the 10-night minimum rental requirement, and will accept a 7-night reservation!
This 111 foot award-winning yacht has been extremely popular since her launch in 2015. She offers accommodations for up to 8 passengers in 4 staterooms, and is operated by a talented crew of 6.
WHY WE LIKE YACHT SOLIS
We often refer to this yacht as a floating Florida-style beach house. Her overall condition and appearance are summed up in one word – immaculate. Whereas most Virgin Island luxury yacht charter vessels have one master stateroom, M/Y SOLIS has two!!! One master is situated on the lower deck, featuring large windows with an outside view close to the water’s surface. The other master is forward on the main deck and boasts a large window, directly above the bed. Imagine the view of the stars at night! The remaining two cabins are double beds, but can convert into twins. How’s that for flexibility???
The spacious sun deck is arranged in two distinct areas: a shaded space, ideal for al fresco meals, and a large open-air sun pad area, with a Jacuzzi tub and bar.

Modern edge and classic details
Impressive dining room with balcony
Vast sunbathing area with Jacuzzi and bar
Spectacular views thanks to over-sized windows throughout
Excellent guests feedback
Motoryacht SOLIS is priced at $120,000/wk during the Christmas holiday period. Can’t get away at Christmas? NO problem – pick an earlier date in December, or go in January when the crowds have gone home, and save $20,000! [$100,000/wk for non-holiday charter]
