3 Yacht Charter Destinations You Must See | Luxury yacht charter

Posted on

Our friends at Trip Advisor recently sent us an email with some stunning images of 20 awe-inspiring places you must see.  The locations were selected by their members.

Several of the spots were accessible by yacht or could easily be accessed by land during a luxury yacht charter vacation.

From the locations submitted by the members, we’ve selected our favorite three for you to see:

1.  PULPIT ROCK – Ryfylke, Norway.
The Pulpit Rock (“Preikestolen” in Norwegian) soars 604 meters over the Lysefjord. This flat mountain plateau, was most likely carved and formed from melting ice over 10,000 years ago.

Fjord yacht charters in the summertime remain a popular choice, especially among European customers from neighboring Soviet countries.
The Schooner sail yacht MONTIGNE  often offers Norway yacht charter vacations in the summertime. Built by Aegean Yachts, the 2009 super yacht MONTIGNE is a 57 meter (187 foot) three-masted staysail schooner with accommodations for 12 guests.

Her yacht charter rates start at $140,000 per week, plus expenses.

2.  PLITVICE LAKES – Plitvice Lakes National Park, Croatia.
Founded in 1949, Plitvice is the largest national park in Croatia, drawing more than 1,200,000 visitors annually.  Situated in the mountainous area of central Croatia, the national park connects the Croatian inland with the Adriatic coastal region – a highly popular yachting destination.
The interest in Croatia yacht charters continues to grow each summer, as clients look for alternatives to the crowded anchorages and overpriced marinas in France and Italy.

Motor yacht AIR, Benetti yacht charter vessel MINE GAMES, and James Bond inspired boat, DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER, have all spent time recently cruising the calm waters of the Adriatic yacht charter coastline.

3.  SANTORINI – Cyclades, Greece.
If you’ve ever seen a photograph of blinding-white buildings with blue roofs, juxtaposed against a backdrop of the Mediterranean Sea, chances are you saw a photo of Santorini.  The views of the sea from the terraces of the ancient towns along the cliffs are mesmerizing.
Arguably the most famous island in Greece, Santorini is easily reachable by yacht – just 120 miles southeast from Greece’s mainland.

Popular Greek yacht charter vessels include motor yacht LADY BRITT  and super yacht EXCELLENCE V.

power catamaran QUARANTA profile

Our associate, Romina Rastelli of Hill Robinson Yacht Management, reached out to us via email.  She wanted to remind us keep power catamaran QUARANTA in mind when providing families with yachting options this summer in the Mediterranean:

“Dear Jim,

We are pleased to inform you that Quaranta will be available this summer in the South of France and Adriatic!

QUARANTA is the first motor yacht of the Curvelle Shipyard in Turkey. She is a winner of multiple prestigious design awards; although a 34m, 111′ superyacht catamaran, QUARANTA has as much interior and exterior volume as other performance monohulls in the 40m – 42m range.

(Your clients) will appreciate the huge windows in every guest cabin and the flexibility of the stateroom layout configuration. All cabins can be rearranged and combined to a variety of different layouts to specifically cater to the client’s needs. Double cabins, twin cabins, triple cabins are all possible. In total, there are over 20 different layouts.

Her key features include:

  • Flexible layout with over 20 different possibilities that can be changed on a moment’s notice,
  • Flexible cruising speed from 10 to 18 knots,
  • Guest interior and exterior space that is comparable with monohull yachts over 40m,
  • Lifting platform that can be used by guests to have more contact with the water,
  • Huge windows in each cabin.

Captain Paul Fraser and his crew look forward to welcoming your clients on board!”

Romina knows we like to offer our clients superyachts with special features and great value.  The number one request by our clients with large families  – “Is there enough space for everyone to feel comfortable?”  Yacht QUARANTA is the perfect alternative for these clients.  With a 9 meter beam and 4 decks, private luxury yacht charter guests can about 50% more guest accommodation space than a comparable 30 meter monohull.  The mid and upper decks are wide open, as is the large deck area on the Main Deck.  This yacht is built for socializing!

Our favorite onboard feature is the unique lowering platform that doubles as beach club deck.  This platform can lower guests straight from the main deck and into the water.  That’s so cool and unique!

For the summer 2017 cruising season, whether in the South of France, or an Adriatic yacht charter, the yacht is offered at €119,000/wk plus running expenses – for both high (July/August) and low (June/September) season
