The yacht’s regular weekly rate is € 25,000. This rate is plus all running expenses. The yacht was built in 2005 and refit in 2010. She is is in like new condition. She spent the winter in the shipyard in New Zealand.
She has Italian styling by Nauta Design. Her architecture is by Farr Yacht Design. The yacht is a Southern Wind 80. She offers 3 comfortable guest staterooms. Matelot is the ultimate in performance sailing.
The yacht has a full beam master stateroom. This room is located forward of the panoramic deck salon. The stateroom features a walkaround king bed. Additionally, it has a settee and vanity writing desk. It features an ensuite bath with stall shower.
She has 2 identical guest cabins amidships. They are aft of the salon. Each similarly has twin lower single beds and ensuite heads. The heads have stall showers.
Crew quarters and galley are fully aft with separate companionway.
Veteran British crew are Captain Angus Fuller and Chef Jessie Fuller. They have several charter season experience in Croatia and the Adriatic. They are joined by an additional crewmember.

Like most parents, you’ve probably been hesitant to take a family yachting vacation with the kids in tow. Will my kids get seasick? What if they get bored? Is it safe to have a child on a yacht?
Fear no more. It’s time to plan that Florida yacht charter vacation you’ve been dreaming about.

Myth #1: My kid will puke while we’re cruising.
Solution – If you’re planning a luxury sailing charter, consider a catamaran (also known as a multihull). Catamarans are much wider than traditional sailboats, don’t heel (tip) to their sides and are more stable, especially at anchor.
Whether you hire a sailboat or motoryacht, most charters (unlike large cruiseships) take place in calm waters close to shore, and anchor in protected coves and bays.
Also remember – Dramamine is safe for most kids (but check with your doctor), and if your child is prone to motion sickness, pack some plastic bags and wet-wipes.
Myth #2: My child will get bored on a boat.
Solution – Ask the skipper to limit the amount of time cruising, and instead, focus on discovering anchorages where the children can swim, snorkel, and go ashore to explore.
Most yachts carry extensive recreational and watersports toys, including kayaks, rafts, wakeboards, trampolines, etc. For onboard activity, many yachts now offer Wii and PlayStation games, in addition to large selections of movies, music, and beach games for use onshore.
It doesn’t matter if you are planning a self-drive bareboat yacht charter, or a London Olympics yacht charter. When you rent a private yacht for a family holiday, include your children in the planning process.
During the month prior to your vacation, show them pictures of your yacht and the places you are visiting by boat. At bedtime, read them books about traveling. Tell them about the onboard watertoys, and let them them help choose activities.
On the day before departure, have your child(ren) pick one special toy or blanket that will be a comfort during the trip.
The more involved they are, the less anxiety they will feel.
Also plan to speak with your charter broker as well as the yacht’s skipper, and the head stewardess. Ask them about kid-friendly amenities.
Some possible questions:
• Will the chef prepare special meals for the children?
• Does the yacht have kid-specific games or movies?
• Do the yacht have a crib?
• Can they crew arrange activities for kids, such as a
movie night, onshore picnics and treasure hunts, etc.?
Most crews have plenty of experience with family-oriented charters. They will work closely with parents to organize activities that are fun for the entire family.
A note of importance – do NOT expect the crew members to be babysitters. Their primary focus is the safe operation of the yacht and the comfort of the guests.

Surprisingly, not an eyebrow was raised nor a snicker made by any of the guests at the funny name. These were repeat charterers, and they knew. A”banana” is one of the reasons that they chose to charter this Feadship yacht.
A banana is one of many popular watertoys available on most Caribbean yacht charter vessels. It is a towable toy that is a giant, yellow, floating cylindrical tube, with room for 3 or more fun-loving adventurists.

The rush is on to book a last minute Monaco Grand Prix yacht!
As the dates draw closer for Europe’s premier Formula 1 Grand Prix and similar special events such as the Cannes Film Festival, charter customers are cautioned to first concentrate on where they will dock their rental yacht.
“When a customer contacts us to rent a Monaco Grand Prix yacht, we immediately focus on securing a berth in Port Hercules, the only marina adjacent to the race course,” says Jana Sheeder, President of 1-800 Yacht Charters and The SailAway Group. “The only way to view the race from the deck of a yacht is to be moored in the marina, preferably in Zone 1, closest to the track and Jumbotron.”
Dock space in the port is reserved via a written application. It can take up to 5 weeks to process, unless you are a race team sponsor.
“It doesn’t matter if you want to attend the Grand Prix in Monaco or the Film Festival in Cannes, you must make it a priority to secure a berth many weeks, if not months, prior to the event,” reports Sheeder. “We hear horror stories where people have rented a yacht only to find their charter broker did not secure dockage at the marina closest to the special event location.”
Nearly all available dockage is already reserved for the Grand Prix. Sheeder and her team found yachts available for the race AND have secure dockage.
“We have several yachts, such as the 26 meter JACKIE ONE, available for the race and with a secured berth in Zone 1, right next to the race course,” claims Sheeder.
The 82 foot Amer motoryacht JACKIE ONE has event dockage.
She combines elegance with comfort and space. Maiora gave her a refit in 2007 to add features. For instance, the yacht now has a large hydro-massage Jacuzzi.
SALON – Her salon features comfort, entertainment, width, and home theatre. It has large windows and refined furnishings. Meal service alternates betwen the dining table in the salon, inside the cockpit, at the back on the aft deck, and above, on the upper deck.
The yacht can host up to 30 passengers for watching the race or for evening cocktail parties. She has four spacious cabins with accommodations for 8 overnight guests.
Motoryacht JACKIE ONE is offering a reduced rate for the Grand Prix of Monaco. She lowered her rate from €25,000 EUROS. Her 4-day rate for Monaco Grand Prix is now €20,000 EUROS. This includes secured berth for the race. The yacht is VAT exempt. Her running expenses, such as food and bar, are additional.

Proteksan Turquoise yacht TALISMAN C replaces her little sister, 54 meter TALISMAN C1 in the charter market. Her owner enjoys a leisurely world cruise aboard this gorgeous vessel beforehand.
Proteksan Turquoise launched this yacht. It is the largest release from the Pendik facility. The project was the result of a repeat order; the previous Talisman, now named TALISMAN C1, was launched for the same owner at Proteksan Turquoise in 2006.
Currently undergoing sea trials on the Sea of Marmara, the final handover of the yacht to her owner is planned for mid June, 2011. Following a short Mediterranean yacht cruising schedule, the vessel will then appear at the Monaco Yacht Show in September. Prior to entering the charter market, the owner will then embark on a two year private world cruise.
Once the world cruise is completed, TALISMAN C will join the charter fleet.
The yacht features an “Art Deco” theme throughout salon and seating areas. The interior has a rich combination of flame mahogany and maple burl, combined together to give the yacht a warm, contemporary feel. The centerpiece is the spiral staircase with a beautiful, custom made chandelier hanging the length of three floors.
Features abound, including a sky lounge, full height gym area, and an impressive master cabin with a private steam room, owner’s library, and an office that can convert to a guest double cabin.
